        Intro

   Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life has characters never seen before, with this cast of 35 characters (Later to show up in Another Wonderful Life and Harvest Moon DS). Each character has his/hers own personalities, Likes, and dislikes, in there own special way. In the game, these characters will grow, mature, and change as the game goes on. I hope you enjoy this FAQ, it is the second one that I have made. And I hope to continue making more. So without further ado, the Characters FAQ.

 

Chapter 1 Let’s meet the cast!

 

            The Characters are listed in alphabetical order below. Each character will have: A personal portrait, a in-game picture, Name, Age (For Chapter 1 mainly, except for Grant, Samantha, and Kate, which will be aged by Chapter 2), Lives, Works, Career Choice (for your kid), Times of waking up before and after marriage (Bachelorettes only), Times of going to bed before and after marriage (Bachelorettes only), Likes, Dislikes, and a summery of themselves.

 

Name: Carter

Age:

Lives: In a tent near the waterfall

Works: Dig for rare artifacts

Career Choice: Scholar

Summery: Carter is a good-natured man who is willing to lend a hand in any work if he has to. He knows many things, and if you come to his tent when he takes a break from work, he will tell you tales of long ago, when there were other civilizations living in Forget-Me-Not-Valley. He takes his work very seriously, and is usually found in the ruins seeing what he can find. You can help dig with him, but only when he is at the ruins. When it comes to his  assistant, Flora, He’s clueless. He claims he doesn’t know much about women, but never says that in Flora’s face. Carter is too afraid to tell Flora how much he doesn’t like her cooking, because he says “She’ll Flip out!”, oblivious to the fact that Flora already knows about it, which is quite funny.   

Likes: Eggs, Melons,  Cheese, Sashimi

Name: Celia

Age:

Lives: Vesta’s Farm

Works: Vesta’s Farm

Career Choice: Farmer

Schedules Before Marriage: Wakes up at 6AM and sleeps at 9PM most of the time.

After Marriage: Wakes up at 6AM and Sleeps at 10PM. Goes out of house rarely.

Diary: In her bed

Summery: [Bachelorette] Celia is a caring, compassionate girl who loves to watch nature unfold into beauty. She always wants to know how your farm is doing, and is eager to let you purchase some seeds from Vesta’s Farm. Vesta strongly encourages her to marry you, however, Marlin has other Ideas of who he think Celia should marry. Celia is very angry that she is that cause of most of there arguments, and is very confused. If you do not marry her, she will remain unmarried however.

Likes: All flowers, Eggs, A and S quality crops, Mushroom curry, Strawberry cake, Star Milk S

Dislikes: Bones, saying “no” when shown to the blue feather

 

Name: Chris

Age:

Lives: Wally’s House

Works: Housewife

Career Choice: Athlete

Summery: Chris is Wally’s wife and Hugh’s mother. Chris is always making sure that Wally doesn’t run too hard, and that Huge does the same. She feels very proud of her house and loves to spend time in it, marking her kitchen as her favorite room. She will ask you in Chapter 2 if you want to hear her tell you son’s fortune. Since she had married Wally, she‘s gone to the city and has liked it a lot. So she goes often. When it comes to Huge, she trusts him a lot and lets him in the house by himself sometimes.

Likes: All flowers, milk, Eggs, apples, fruit juice

Dislikes: Veggie Cake

 

Name: Cody

Age:

Lives: In some sort of metal mobile home

Works: Artist

Career Choice: Artist

Summery: Cody is an artist, and a metallurgist, who uses nature for a inspiration in his paintings. He’s tough, but soft inside. He is deeply saddened on Nami’s departure from Forget-Me-Not-Valley in Chapter 2, but refuses to show it. He is not a social person at all, so people don’t know much about him. He’ll occasionally paint near turtle swamp or the waterfall, and while he is like this, you cannot give him anything, because he will say “Thank you, but I cannot accept that now”. This also happens when he crosses his arms. So be watchful.

Career Choice: Nothing

Summery: He’s an enchanted teddy bear. You can bye him from Van in Chapter 3. He has some mysterious secret....

Name: Daryl

Age:

Lives: In laboratory (and secret underground lab, which you cannot go to.)

Works: As a scientist and works on his experiments

Career Choice: Scholar

Summery: One of the most suspicious characters in the game, Daryl is a scientist who, well…sort of “out there”…to say the least. He’s not mad, but he does do many odd things. How do explain trying to steal your cows and swearing vengeance on them…? Or spying on your wife and child…? The possibilities are endless. He also has a strange secret of Flora’s that no one really knows about. He knows someone is stealing his Idea’s for his “Great inventions”, but he doesn’t know who. He will commonly walk around your farm, claiming he is just “Taking a Walk”. Despite all this weirdness, his inventions prove very useful…once he’s gotten them right. He will say: “If you come at the right time, you can watch me use one of my experiments.” So see you can see what incredible inventions he has.

Likes: Eggs, Golden Eggs, coins, Earth soup, bones& fossils

Dislikes: Flowers, Plants, crystal ores, sugar ores

 

 

Name: Flora

Age:

Lives: In a tent near the waterfall

Works: Assists in the Ruins with Carter

Career Choice: Scholar

Summery: Flora is nice polite girl who spends a lot of time at the dig site. Although, she spends time more out doors near the river than Carter. A little dull, assuming she doesn’t’ like most things girls like, as in flowers and other petty things. She doesn’t really know how to cook, though that’s what provides a dinner for Carter and Flora every night. She knows that Carter does not like her cooking, which is fine with her, but she keeps it a secret.

Likes: Milk, Fish, Curry, butter, cheese, mushroom Curry

Dislikes: Flowers, Fruits and Vegetables under S quality

 

 

 

Name: Galen

Age:

Lives: Next to Wally’s house in Chapter 1, and just past the bridge in the other chapters.

Works: Retired

Career Choice: Nothing

Summery: Galen is a very old long timer of Forget-Me-not-Valley. He is known for making new comers feel welcome and is respected by all. He is one who truly loves his long life with Nina, Galen’s’ wife. But when Nina dies in Chapter 2, he is disheartened and sad. He then refuses all presents, even Hackberries, so befriending him at that stage is useless. He realizes that it was the best for things and gets over it in Chapter 3.

Likes: Sashimi, Fish, fish stew, Hackberries, Vegetables of  S quality.

Dislikes: Vegetables under S quality

 

 

Name: Grant

Age:

Lives: Grant’s house

Works: In mineral town

Career Choice: Nothing (Maybe scholar, but probably not)

Summery: You could say Grant takes his job to seriously, and is uptight and worried about everything. But occasionally, who may see him at the Inner Inn or the bar having a good time. In the Inner Inn, you can have a milk-drinking contest with him. He enjoys life only when in these locations because he is afraid of Samantha, his own wife, and Spoils her Daughter, Kate. Grant moves in, in Chapter 2. He chose Forget-Me-Not-Valley to try to make his life less complicated. But Kate always says she’s bored, and wants a city life again, but never receives one again.

Likes: All milk, Sashimi, Eggs                                                

Dislikes: Coins (It reminds him of work)

 

 

Name: Griffin

Age:

Lives: At the Blue Bar

Works: At the Blue Bar

Career Choice: Nothing (Maybe music, but I haven’t heard that before)

Summery: Griffin is a great guitarist, and makes a trademark Bar tender for the Blue Bar. He works alongside Muffy, his granddaughter, at the Blue Bar, and when he is behind the counter, you cannot give things to him so wait until he goes out, or mourning at 10AM. He rarely plays Guitar, but when he does, you will be amazed. He’s very out going and loves to talk. He’s not worried  about business at all. He only cares for the costumers, and there needs. When he says “Would you like a drink, or…” and you say “Came to chat” he warmly replies “Everyone lives there lives in Forget-Me-not-Valley, and if your enjoying the moment, that’s all that matters”.                                                                              

Likes: Sashimi, Fish, coins, Mist Moons and Trick Blue Flowers, golden eggs, crystals

Dislikes: Butter

 

Name: Gustafa

Age:

Lives: In Gustafa’s yurt

Works: Unknown

Career Choice: Musician

Summery: Gustafa loves Music, Art, and Nature and is constantly playing his Guitar and asking what you think of his songs. He believes in creativeness and organization. Takakura just thinks of him as a hippie, and puts him in the same category as Daryl, Murry, and Cody-the weird category. Gustafa like Nami a lot, but does not hold a grudge against you if you marry her.

Likes: All flowers, Curry, things from ruins, mushroom curry

Dislikes: Fish

 

 

Name: Hardy

Age:

Lives: In Mineral Town in Chapter 1, and moves in Forget-Valley in other Chapters

Works: As a medical Doctor

Career Choice: Unknown (Maybe Scholar, but probably not)

Summery: Hardy is a doctor who is very good at his job. He used to live in Mineral Town, but since he visited Forget-Me-not-Valley, he found the need to live there because there was no other local doctor. In appearance, he is quite frightening, having a odd, metal patch on his left eye. To make up for this he always says, “Don’t grudge people by appearance”, but no one really stares any way. He is concerned about Ramona’s health in Chapter 1, but when Nina dies, he mainly watches over Galen. Hardy claims he wasn’t there to save Nina , because she never told him, and because it was so sudden. Galen holds a grudge against Hardy, but gets over it in Chapter 3.

Likes: Mist Moons, Bones from dig site, Fish, coins, Eggs, apples

Dislikes: Gratin

 

 

Name: Hugh

Age:

Lives: Wally’s house

Works: He does not work

Career Choice: Athlete

Summery: Hugh is the son of Wally and Chris, indicating his knowledge of fitness. He hope to be an athlete like his father, and loves to run with him at about 7-8:30AM each day. Hugh is often bullied by Kate in Chapters 2, and 3, even though Kate is younger than Hugh. Hugh is very reliable, and friendly, and is willing to play with any other boy his age. So in Chapter 2, he welcomes your son.

Likes: Coins, crystals, Balls, milk (Only in Chapter 1)

Dislikes: Tools

 

 

Name: Jack                                                                                                                        Age:

Lives: In your Farm

Works: Farmer

Career Choice: N/A

Summery: Jack is the character YOU play. You can make his name ANYTHING you want, so don’t feel inclined to name him “Jack”. You can name him ANYTHING. You can make his personality ANYTHING you want, weather it’s gruff, kind, disorganized, bold, heroic, boisterous…ANYTHING you want. If you want your character’s condition to be good, eat many good things, do not eat bad things (Like failed cooking), get a lot of rest, and make friends with people.

Likes: N/A

Dislikes: N/A

 

Name: Kassey

Age:

Lives: In a tall house, using a rope to climb up and down

Works: As a pyrotechnician

Career Choice: Artist

Summery: Kassey is a pyrotechnician (makes fireworks) and claims, “I’m the best pyrotechnician in the world”. The only way to tell him from Patrick, Kassey’s twin brother, is the smiley face on his blue shirt. He doesn’t know too much about children and doesn’t particularly care for children. He calls you “Young’un a lot, and really enjoys playing games. For an unknown reason, he is attracted to flowers. He says the only thing he likes better than fireworks and flowers are young girls. And unfortunately, he means Muffy, who he is crazy about. Poor thing.

Likes: Flowers, Crystals, Tamacarro Salad

Dislikes: pickled turnips and children

 

 

Name: Kate

Age:

Lives: At Grant’s house

Works: Does not work

Career Choice: Nothing

Summery: Kate is the daughter of Grant and Samantha. Her mother does not think Kate to be very “ladylike” and commonly refers to her as “Tomboyish”. However, Kate disagrees. This causes many arguments and makes Kate stay as far away from the house as possible, because she says her mom is going to “Yell at me again”. Grant seems to spoil her, because he says he wouldn’t like it if she wasn’t happy. Even being younger, she bullies Hugh a lot and in Chapter 3 admits it and says that in the beginning, Hugh would just take it, but now, he fights back. She misses her city life and says it’s boring in the country. She will ask questions like “Isn’t there anything to do here…?” or say things like “I’m SO bored.”. But eventually she matures.

 Likes: Curry, Flowers (Chapters 2 and 3)

 Dislikes: Veggie Cake, Carrot Cake, Maneire Set, Gratin        

Name: Lumina

Age:

Lives: Ramona’s Mansion

Works: Does not work

Career Choice: Musician

Summery: Lumina’s parents passed away long ago, so she currently lives with her grandmother. She is nice, polite, and very social. She looks forward to visits and loves her grandmother Ramona and butler, Sebastian. She likes to play piano, but when Ramona always expected her to play the right notes, Lumina got nervous and was always afraid to hit the wrong note. If you befriend her, she will give you many short cut-scenes and will eventually explain everything about her life. Though she loves Sebastian and Ramona, she feels lonely sometimes. She is not old enough to marry you.

Likes: Flowers, Fried Sweet Potato, Strawberry Cake 

Dislikes: Unknown

 

Name: Marlin

Age:

Lives: Vesta’s Farm

Works: Vesta’s Farm

Career Choice: Farmer

Summery: Marlin is Vesta’s younger brother and believes in good work. She adores Celia and if you marry her, He will have a grudge one you for a long time. However, Vesta has different plans. She wishes Celia to marry you (Jack). He is pretty hard to get along with, especially since you are the one who might marry Celia.

Likes: Vegetables of S quality, records, Strength and stamina potions (Like Bodihyper)

Dislikes: Everything else, you

 

Name: Muffy

Age:

Lives: The Blue Bar

Works: The Blue Bar

Career Choice: Unknown

Schedules Before Marriage: Wakes up at 10:00 AM, usually is behind the counter at one.

After Marriage: Wakes up at 8:00 AM and goes to sleep at 11:00 PM-Except when at bar

Diary: Inside the lamp at the bar.

Summery: [Bachelorette] Muffy is very flirtatious. She used to work in the city scrubbing and cleaning, but hated it-she much preferred cooking. She then went with her grandfather, Griffin to Forget-me-not-Valley, and is now has a part time job at the Blue Bar. She always wishes to look her best when you are around (Jack), and if you befriend her to two hearts (as it will show in her diary) She has a cut-scheme were she breaks dishes because she is thinking about “something”; meaning you. She will not like you nearly as much if you don’t marry her, and always comment on how your wife is doing in Chapter 2-half heartedly, of course. The point is, she’s crazy about you, and she’s not afraid to admit it!

Likes: Flowers, Crystals, sweets, coins, anything shiny, butter, ice cream and Big Huchup

Dislikes: bones, Tools, and any other fish beside Big Huchup

Name: Muku Muku

Age:???

Lives: Near the harvest Sprites house

Works: does not work

Career Choice: Nothing

Summery: This white, furry Yeti is good nature, except when threatened. He only comes in winter and rarely in spring. This “forest guardian”, as the harvest sprites call him, is very mysterious and Daryl can never find a proper classification species for him.

Likes: Flowers

Dislikes: Nothing, he just won’t take some

 

 

Name: Murry

Age:

Lives: He’s homeless, and sleeps wherever he can

Works: Doesn’t have a job, just begs

Career Choice: Nothing

Summery: Murry is a homeless mini sized caveman-like…well, no one knows. He always talks about going back to his hometown: Po-Po Valley. He walks anywhere and if you keep any food in your food storage bin, he will steal it. However, he does not know this is yours and if you catch him stealing anything he will ask you if it’s yours, and if you say “Yes”, he will give the item back to you apologizing all the way, and never steals from you again. If you say “No” he will say something like “Alright! Someone must have dropped some food then, I guess I’ll take it!”. He will do this forever more. Sometime in the game he will go to Popo Valley.

Likes: Fodder, Wool

Dislikes: will comment on what he dislikes
